Mike Alessi raced two events this week and produced a podium at Portland international raceway with a come from behind second place finish. From there we traveled to washougal for the Mx sports motocross national. Mike ran as high as 6th place but crashed in both motos.
The Portland podium was Chisholm mike800 and Vince Freise.
It's doubtful mike will race any more professional events this year as he needs healing and rest from multiple injuries this season including a torn meniscus broken vertebrae and broken pelvis
Second overall in Portland
Washougal press day was good but the race was a muddy event mike fell in both motos after running as high as 6th
Mike #800 had a hard go of it in Calgary canada after suffering a practice crash early in the week before the Calgary Mx national. Mike gave it his best effort running inside the top 3 for a few laps but dropped back and eventually fell and was pushed back a lap. Mike retired with the event and will need some off time to repair a bruised sternum and separated rib.
Mikes Mcr teammate Vince Freise carded the over all won today.
The Canadian nationals now follow the lead of mxgp allowing the tech and race of two separate machines.
#2? First time mike has ever raced in anything but #800 in his entire career. #2 was required by the race Sanction since mike finished second in the series next year.
