Mike Alessi had a good weekend at round nine of the AMA motocross championships finishing second overall and finding his way back on  to the podium. . This years event greeted riders to perfect weather conditions and a very rough (to be expected ) and sandy track in  southwick mass . Mike Alessi #800 used consistent and solid riding all weekend combined with a 222 sand setting to match his best finish of this season.

This past week was dedicated to sand riding and training . Sand is hard on riders and their equipment,however we have learned a lot this past week after riding at both southwick and our florida sand track . Their was no race this weekend so Mike Alessi # 800 rode sand until the cows went home .

While at southwick we saw metcalf ,barcia ,and wharton ...and privateer jimmy decotis was fast!

This weekend Mike Alessi competed in round # 9 of the AMA motocross championships held in New Berlin New York at Unadilla sports center.  This venue draws motocross fans from multiple states in the north east and has a deep and rich moto history that dates back to the origin of the sport.

Mike qualified 6th today ...Dungey again outlasted the field in today's race ,while top qualifier James Stewart made his return to motocross after six month lay off due to injury .

 Big Thank you to the Herd Family for opening up the infamous Broome Tioga sports center Motocross track located near Binghamton ,New York for Mike Alessi and others riders to train during the week leading up to the AMA motocross national held at Unadilla sports center.
